Feldspar is the name given to a group of minerals distinguished by the presence of alumina and silica(SiO2) in their chemistry. This group includes aluminium silicates of soda, potassium or lime. It is the single most abundant mineral group on Earth. They account for an estimated 60% of exposed rocks, as well as soils, clays and other unconsolidated sediments and are the principal components in rock classification schemes. The minerals included in this group are the orthoclase, microline and plagioclase feldspars.

(1) Potas (2) Soda
It can be varied in 3 Grades:
(A) Feldspar 3rd Powder(katti), body grade material which has no merge chemical in it and is used in flour tiles.
(B) Feldspar 3rd powder(super katti) is a body grade material which has nearly 7% alk and I value of 45+ and is used in double charge tiles.
(C) Feldspar 3rd powder(gvt grade 60I value) is used in gvt tiles and as body grade material in vitrified tiles.
